Wash Smart Launches Community Support Program for Chicago Families Affected by SNAP Funding Delays in Chicago

At Wash Smart, we believe a laundromat’s role in the community goes beyond cleaning clothes. In moments like this, we’re reminded how important it is to look out for our neighbors. As part of our ongoing commitment to serving the Chicagoland community, we’re stepping up to support families impacted by recent delays in SNAP benefit funding.

For the next three Wednesdays, November 12, 19, and 26, Wash Smart will provide a $10 laundry card to community members who show a valid SNAP card at any of our 17 laundromat locations across Chicago and the suburbs. This initiative is designed to help families cover an essential household need during a difficult time.

How the Program Works

No applications, forms, or purchases are required. Simply visit your nearest Wash Smart location during regular business hours, show your SNAP card at the counter, and receive a $10 laundry card.

Program Dates & Times: Wednesdays, November 12, 19, and 26 from 5 AM to 12 PM
Eligibility: SNAP beneficiaries who present a physical SNAP card in person
Availability: First 50 customers per store, each Wednesday
Redemption: Must be used the same day

This program is available at all Wash Smart locations throughout Chicagoland, including Chicago’s South and West Sides as well as suburban communities like Addison, Franklin Park, Montgomery, Niles, Elgin, and West Chicago.
